Conductive Roving

Conductive Roving

Need a lightweight, durable or non-metallic conductor? Our conductive roving provides you with each of these useful features.

Our fiberglass conductive roving is made up of multiple ends of continuous filament E-glass yarn, all coated so they can conduct electricity – ideal for automotive ignition wire and other electrical applications. An overwrap of uncoated, twisted, continuous filament yarn maintains the integrity of the roving bundle, which is wound onto a returnable double-flange steel reel. We offer conductive roving with resistance ranging from 1,750 to 4,000 ohms per foot (5,741 to 13,120 ohms per meter).

Key Features

Custom Resistance – conductive cabling that can be made in a wide range of resistive properties

Noise Suppression – resistive characteristics provide added noise suppression in high voltage applications

Continuity – supplied in a continuous metered length of 50,000 feet (15,240 meters)

High Tensile Strength – E-glass roving provides high tensile strength properties to the finished part

Product Applications

Customers use our conductive roving product in applications such as the manufacture of OEM ignitions for industrial powered equipment as well as in the aftermarket automotive replacement sector.

Typical applications include:

  • Automotive ignition wire
  • Electrical conductive applications
